With a late goal, Flamengo beat Cefama 2-1 in the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship

In a lively match, Flamengo U-20 beat Cefama 2-1, on Thursday afternoon (25), for the Brazilian Women's Championship in the category. The match, held at the Nhozinho Santos Stadium, in São Luís, Maranhão, saw the two teams battle until the end for the result, with Mais Querido taking the best in the final stretch of the confrontation. 

The red-and-black goals were scored by defender Núbia in the first half and Ingrid Santos in the second. With this result, the girls reach 25 points in Group C of the competition.


The game

The match began with Flamengo launching an attack. In the 6th minute, Ingrid Santos had a fantastic chance, but the opposing defense saved it practically on the line. In the 12th minute, after a corner kick, Cefama's goalkeeper saved Mari Fernandes' header to keep the score at XNUMX-XNUMX.

At 31', after a free kick from Louvain on the right, Núbia took advantage of the rebound in the area to shake the net and open the scoring in São Luís: 1-0 Flamengo. 

At 45', the Maranhão team tied the score: 1-1.

The second half was a lively affair. Cefama pushed forward, but the Mais Querido knew how to persist and didn't concede. In the 46th minute, with the game heading for a draw, Ingrid Santos received the ball at the edge of the box and fired a powerful shot toward goal. The ball was low and powerful, leaving the opposing goalkeeper with no chance: 2-1 Flamengo.

Ingrid Santos' goal secured the red-black victory and gave the final score to the match.
