Playing at home in the 6th round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo was persistent and beat Athletico-PR 1-0 on Friday night (31), at the Luso-Brasileiro stadium. Sole Jaimes showed opportunism and scored the winning goal for the red-black team in the 44th minute of the second half.
With this result, the Mais Querido secured its fifth consecutive victory and added 15 points to the standings. In the next round, the Rubro-Negro travels to Porto Alegre to face Grêmio.
The game
The Meninas da Gávea started the match valuing possession in the attacking half, exchanging passes back and forth in search of space in Athletico's defense. In the seventh minute, Jucinara crossed into the box, but the ball went wide and out for a goal kick.
The Paraná team adopted a more defensive stance, waiting for Flamengo to launch counterattacks. In the 18th minute, Darlene saw the goalkeeper out of position and took a shot from midfield, but the ball went wide.
The Mais Querido kept attacking and tried to open the scoring. In the 35th minute, Duda took a shot from outside the box, but the ball went just wide of the crossbar. With few clear-cut chances, the first half ended goalless.
After the break, the Meninas da Gávea pressed Athletico in the opening minutes. In the 7th minute, after a rebound at the edge of the box, Monalisa took a shot, but the ball fell into the hands of the Paraná goalkeeper. In the 27th minute, Crivelari took advantage of the loose ball in the box and unleashed a first-time shot, but the ball went over the goal.
After so much persistence, Mengão scored the winning goal in the last minute of regulation. Jucinara lifted the ball into the box, Gica headed it, and the ball fell to Sole Jaimes, who found herself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and showed opportunism to score the winning goal for the red-and-blacks in the Luso-Brazilian Championship, 1-0.
It's the fifth consecutive victory for Mais Querido in the Brasileirão Feminina!
