In the second round of the Copa Rio Feminina Sub-20, Flamengo went to CT Vale das Laranjeiras and beat Fluminense 3-1, on the morning of this Friday (3). Top scorer Gica scored all three goals for the red-blacks in the classic. Now, the Meninas da Gávea have a rest in the third round and will only return to the field on November 11.

The game
The derby began with the Meninas da Gávea dominating possession, seeking to exchange passes in the attacking half. Just six minutes in, Mengão opened the scoring in Xerém. Kaylane delivered a sweet pass to Gica, who beat the pace and fired a low shot past the goalkeeper: 1-0.

With the advantage, the red-and-black team continued to dominate possession in attack. Fluminense, on the other hand, adopted a more withdrawn posture and struggled to transition from defense to attack.

Flamengo extended their lead in the 17th minute. Mariana pressured the opponent's ball out and passed it to Gica inside the box. The striker controlled the ball and struck powerfully to make it 2-0. With complete control of the game, Flamengo went into halftime with a partial victory.

Early in the second half, Mengão scored the third, again through Gica, who scored her hat trick. After a pass from goalkeeper Agatha, Ingrid controlled the ball and passed it perfectly to the red-and-black striker, who slotted it past the goalkeeper: 3-0.

In the 12th minute, left-back Letícia was sent off after receiving her second yellow card, leaving Flamengo with a man down. Despite being outnumbered, the red-and-black team managed to control the match and didn't face any pressure from the home team.

Fluminense pulled one back at the end with Lorrane, who took advantage of the rebound inside the box: 3-1. With that, the Meninas da Gávea controlled the final minutes and left the field with their second victory in the competition.

The Girls from Gávea return to the field on November 11th to face Rio de Janeiro, at 15 pm, in Gávea, for the fourth round of the Copa Rio Feminina Sub-20.
