Flamengo learned its quarterfinal opponent for the 2023 Women's Super Cup on Tuesday afternoon (17). In a draw held at CBF headquarters, it was established that "Mais Querido" will face Ceará. As FERJ is one of the best placed in the national ranking, the team will host the match in February. If it advances, it will face the winner of the clash between Avaí Kindermann and Real Brasília.

With six confirmed signings, including defender Agustina, announced today, the team led by Luis Andrade began preseason in Rio but is now in Pinheiral. The competition is the Meninas da Gávea's first on the calendar this year and will feature a knockout format with a single game played until the end.

"We've been working hard since January 3rd, thinking about the Super Cup. Ceará is a team that did a great job in 2022, promoted to the first division as champions, so we need to be very focused throughout the 90 minutes. We want a spot in the semifinals and, later, the final. The nation can be sure that we will represent Flamengo well in the competition," declared the coach.
