A real show. That's what Flamengo/Marinha put on this Wednesday (6), when they faced Portuguesa-SP in Gávea. With a great performance by Dany Helena and a great collective performance, the red-blacks won 6-0, dominated the action and left with three more points at home. The goals were scored by number 27 (four times), Ju and Rafaela.

With this result, the Meninas da Gávea team now has 12 points from seven matches, with three wins, three draws, and one loss, moving them into second place. So far, they've scored 14 goals and conceded 11.

It is worth remembering that the 7th and 8th rounds of the Brazilian Women's Championship A1 were brought forward for Flamengo and Portuguesa, as the red-black girls have commitments with the Navy during the month of June.

The game

From the very first play, Flamengo/Marinha opened the scoring with a stunning goal from Ju. Dominating the attack and suffering few defensive challenges, the red-and-blacks controlled the match and managed to score another before halftime. After a pass from Bárbara in the 29th minute, Larissa headed the ball and found Dany Helena alone, who simply tapped it in to make it 2-0.

In the second half, the excellent collective performance consolidated, and Flamengo shone on the field, conceding only two opposing attack attempts in 45 minutes. In the 14th minute, Dany Helena made a great individual play, displacing her defenders, and shooting at goal, extending the lead. She then added another goal with another assist from Larissa, who delivered a precise cross from the right.

In the 38th minute, Rafaela took a long-range shot and scored a stunning goal, her first in the Holy Mantle. Capping off the great match, the number 27 scored another late in the game, making it a resounding 6-0.

And now?

The Meninas da Gávea will face Portuguesa-SP again next week, when they go to the Canindé stadium, in São Paulo, on Wednesday (13). The match is valid for the first round of the return leg.
