Comeback! Flamengo/Marinha defeats Fluminense 3-1 and is the fifth champion of the Women's Carioca Championship

In the second leg of the Rio de Janeiro Women's Football Championship final, Flamengo/Marinha defeated Fluminense 3-1 on Saturday morning (16) at the Luso Brasileiro Stadium on Governador Island. The goals for "Mais Querido" were scored by Ana Carla, Larissa and Gaby. The "Meninas da Gávea" had already won the first leg 1-0. In the sum of the two matches, Mengão came out on top and lifted their fifth consecutive trophy in the competition.
The game
Less than a minute into the match, Fluminense went on the attack and scored the first goal of the match through Rivena. Flamengo/Marinha reacted quickly and tied the derby in the 12th minute, with a beautiful header from Ana Carla, who scored her first goal of the competition. After the equalizer, the Meninas da Gávea improved in the match, and the duel became quite even, with scoring chances for both sides. But the first half ended all square at 1-1.
At the start of the second half, Mengão went on the attack and scored their first goal. In the 10th minute, Larissa was awarded a penalty. The red-and-black striker scored with skill, giving the Mais Querido a 2-1 lead. In the 27th minute, Larissa entered the penalty area from the right side and was brought down. Another penalty for the Meninas da Gávea. Gaby, a red-and-black player, struck perfectly, extending the lead to 3-1.
With the result, Flamengo/Marinha took their fifth consecutive trophy of the Rio de Janeiro Women's Football Championship to Gávea and celebrated the Red-Black Nation.
