The game
In the sweltering heat of Luso Brasileiro, the match began with Flamengo taking the initiative and dominating the attack. But it was Botafogo who took the lead in the sixth minute through Gabi Itacaré, who broke down on the counterattack and slotted past Karol Alves to make it 1-0.
