In the 12th round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo beat Cruzeiro, in a comeback, by 2 to 1 on Wednesday afternoon (2), at SESC Venda Nova-MG. The goals of Mais Querido were scored by Jayanne, after a free kick by Sorriso, and Ana Carla. With the result, Rubro-Negro added 14 points, went to ninth place and remains in the fight to stay among the top eight of the championship.

The game
The Meninas da Gávea started the first half valuing possession and trying to create attacking opportunities. In the 30th minute, goalkeeper Kaká made two great saves in quick succession, preventing Cruzeiro from opening the scoring. With few chances created, the teams went into halftime tied 0-0.

In the second half, Cruzeiro opened the scoring in the sixth minute with Rebeca Prado: 1-0. After falling behind, the Mais Querido went on the attack and made it all equal in the 17th minute. Sorriso took a free kick into the box and Jayanne, with a header, beat the goalkeeper: 1-1.

In the 33rd minute, Rafa Barros received the ball at the edge of the box and struck a powerful shot. The ball sailed past the goalkeeper's right post. In the closing stages of the match, the Meninas da Gávea pressed the Minas Gerais team in their defense, seeking a comeback, and created a few opportunities.

After so much insistence, Mengão turned the score around in the 44th minute. After a scramble inside the box, the ball fell to Ana Carla who finished into the back of the net, sealing the red-black victory by 2 to 1.

Next appointment
Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Saturday (5) for the classic against Botafogo, at 15 pm, in Gávea. The clash is valid for the 13th round of the Brazilian Women's Championship.
