Re-enacting the final of the last Brazilian Women's Football Championship, Flamengo/Marinha faced Rio Preto at the Anísio Haddad stadium on Thursday afternoon (6). Coming from behind, the red-blacks turned it around in the first half with two goals from Pâmela and one from Diany, guaranteeing the victory.

Four minutes into the first half, Rio Preto opened the scoring with a goal from Mônica. Flamengo/Marinha, however, didn't give up and pushed forward, looking for a comeback. The first goal came from top scorer Pâmela in the 4th minute. Shortly after, Diany hit a beautiful finish and scored a stunning goal, putting the Mais Querido (Most Beloved) ahead.

Closing the scoring in the first half, Pâmela scored her second goal of the match, Flamengo's third, and secured the three points for the red-and-blacks. In the second half, the Meninas da Gávea simply controlled the score and emerged with a 3-1 victory.

With the result, Mais Querido reaches 12 points and is close to the top, as Santos and Rio Preto, both tied for first place, have 15. They have four wins and two losses in six matches.

In the next round, Flamengo/Marinha will play at home again, facing Foz Cataratas at CEFAN, at 15 pm, on Wednesday (12).
