Integration between the youth teams and the professional women's soccer team is growing steadily. In the final training session before the trip to Porto Alegre, Larissa Carvalho was promoted to the squad led by Celso Silva. The defensive midfielder, known as Baiana, joined the club in 2019 after the first tryout.
Born in Paulo Afonso, Bahia, Larissa is 17 years old and previously played for Sergipe before signing with "Mais Querido." A player with excellent defensive skills and a strong attacking presence, she performed exceptionally well last season and was captain of the U-18 team. It's worth noting that five other players also moved up this year: Carol Pereira, Maria Peck, Mariana Silva, Tainá, and Thalita.
"For some time now, I've been dreaming of reaching the pinnacle of my professional career at a major club. And now I'm achieving it at Flamengo. The coaching staff is extraordinary, the team is fantastic, and I'm incredibly happy with this new phase of my career," said the athlete.
