Another victory for the Girls from Gávea. Mengão defeated São José 1-0 this Saturday afternoon in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, and earned three more points in the Brasileirão Women's Championship (reaching 18 in 11 games). Duda, from the penalty spot in the 44th minute of the second half, scored the only goal of the game.

And it was a great performance from Flamengo. The Mais Querido dominated the match from the start and was rarely threatened. In the first half, they had at least four clear chances to score. In the second half, they had even more chances. One even hit the crossbar.

At the end of the match, the prize went to whoever fought harder. The ball hit the opposing defender's hand inside the box. Clearly, a penalty. Duda, the star player in the number 10 jersey, stepped up to take the shot in the 44th minute and, with great skill, found the net: 1-0 and a victory for the red-and-blacks.

"I'm happy to have contributed with the goal. We got three very important points for our progress in the competition. Playing here in São José is always difficult, so we have to appreciate the victory. This is Flamengo!" said star player Duda.

With the victory, Mengão reaches 18 points and moves into the top six of the Brazilian Championship (it's currently in fifth place). In the next round, "Mais Querido" faces Corinthians. The match will be played next Saturday (the 11th) at 2 pm at Luso-Brasileiro Stadium.

Mengão took to the field like this: Natascha, Rayanne, Cida, Kaylane and Gisseli (Duda Rodrigues); Thaisa, Kika Brandino (Gica), Andressa (Cris) and Duda; Leidiane (Núbia) and Tuane (Pimenta).
