It's decision time! Flamengo/Marinha faces Duque de Caxias for the Carioca Women's Championship title

By Mariana Sa - inThe last challenge of the year. This Saturday (24), at 15 pm, Flamengo/Marinha welcomes Duque de Caxias at the Moça Bonita stadium and seeks its fourth title in the Carioca Women's Football Championship.
The Meninas da Gávea have the best record in the State Championship so far and are the only undefeated team in the tournament. In seven games, they have won seven, accumulated 21 points, scored 37 goals, and conceded none.

Duque de Caxias earned 13 points in the first stage, winning four, drawing one, and losing one of their six matches, scoring 15 goals and conceding six. In the quarterfinals, the team defeated LRD/Bonitão on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
In a tough semifinal against Vasco da Gama at CEPE Caxias, Duque drew 2-2 and took the spot to penalties, winning 5-4.

The tournament will be played in four phases and will conclude in November. The first phase will be divided into two groups, with six clubs in Group A and five in Group B. The format will be with teams from the first group facing those from the second in a single round.
The four top-ranked teams in each group advance to the second round. The matches will be single-leg matches, and the home team will be the team with the best record.

Whoever wins earns a spot in the semifinals, which will feature a crossover between the winners of games 1 and 4/2 and 3. The winning clubs will play the final on neutral ground.
