Mengão's women's soccer team has another major reinforcement for 2024, and the name is well known by the Rubro-Negra Nation: Agustina. The defender, who had a great time with the club in 2023, is back after playing for Tenerife-ESP. She landed in Rio de Janeiro on Monday morning (18), signed a contract, and has already appeared.

Last season, the Argentine won the Copa Rio and competed in the Super Cup and the Brazilian Championship with the Manto Sagrado before moving to Europe. Despite her short tenure—just seven months—Agus won over the fans thanks to her performances and quick recognition. Fierce and versatile, she's also highly technical and has a strong sense of possession. 

In a quick chat, the Sheriff - as she is affectionately nicknamed - said that returning to Flamengo gives her the feeling of being home again. 

"I was very happy here, so it was an easy decision to come back. I confess that I was quite anxious because Flamengo is a home for me. I promise that I will give it my all as I did the first time and I'm sure that the feeling of wearing the Manto again when I step onto the field will be even better. I identify a lot with the club and I hope that the rest of the season will be very good for us," said the number 22.
