In the fourth round of the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship, Flamengo thrashed Cefama 7-1 on Thursday afternoon (20), in Gávea. Laysa (2), Duda Rodrigues (2), Gica, Núbia and Kaylaine Jr. scored the goals for Mengão. Now, Meninas da Gávea have 12 points in the competition and are in third place in Group C.
The game
The match began with the Meninas da Gávea dominating the attack and creating opportunities. And it didn't take long for them to open the scoring. In the seventh minute, Maria Peck arrived well on the right and crossed into the box for Laysa to control and slam home: 1-0.
In the 14th minute, Cefama leveled the score with Joicy, who then quickly advanced forward: 1-1. Flamengo, after conceding the equalizer, continued to attack, looking for more goals. In the 17th minute, Laysa received the ball inside the box and shot, trying to find the far corner of the goal, but the ball hit the post.
Mengão scored their second goal in the 31st minute. Duda Rodrigues received an excellent pass, beat the pace, entered the box and shot past the goalkeeper to put the red-and-black team ahead: 2-1. In the final stretch, Maria Peck suffered an injury and was replaced by Gica.
There was still time for a third in the first half. Once again, Duda Rodrigues made a good individual play on the left, dribbling past the defender, and shooting into the goalkeeper's right corner: 3-1.
After the break, Laysa scored Mengão's fourth and her second of the game. Kaylaine Jr. delivered a great pass to the number 9 inside the box, who controlled the ball and fired a low shot to make it 4-1. The fifth goal for the red-and-black team came after a cross from Louvain, Gica rose in the six-yard box and headed the ball into the corner of the net: 5-1.
In the 31st minute, Laysa made an individual play and was brought down in the box. The referee awarded a penalty. Mariana Fernandes stepped up to take the shot, but the goalkeeper saved it. A minute later, Laysa was fouled again in the box. Another penalty for the Red-Blacks! This time, Núbia hit a powerful shot into the corner, leaving the goalkeeper standing in the middle of the goal. It was Mengão's sixth.
In stoppage time, Kaylaine Jr. took a shot from outside the box, and the ball went into the corner, scoring the seventh goal for the red-and-blacks and finalizing the rout at Gávea. With the result, the Meninas da Gávea moved up to third place in Group C with 12 points.
