In the fourth round of the Copa Rio Feminina, Flamengo drew 2-2 with Botafogo on Thursday morning (5), at Nilton Santos. The Meninas da Gávea went into halftime losing by two goals and sought a reaction in the second half with goals from Cristiane and Jucinara. Mengão remains undefeated in the competition.

In the last round, Mais Querido faces Fluminense, in Xerém, next Sunday (8). The winner of the classic will be the champion of the Copa Rio Feminina. 

The game

The match began with Botafogo taking the initiative and opening the scoring after just seven minutes with Rebeca, who took advantage of Tailane's cross and finished into the goal: 1-0. After the home team's goal, the Flamengo women's team began to have more possession of the ball, going on the attack in search of an equalizer.

After the technical break, Flamengo almost equalized. Cristiane crossed low into the area and Mariana finished first-time, but sent it over the Alvinegro goal. At 35', Mariana passed to Anna Luiza open on the left of the area and she shot directly at goal. The goalkeeper dived to the corner and parried it for a corner kick. 

In the final stretch, Botafogo extended their lead with a goal from Tailane, who received the ball unmarked in the box and slotted it into the corner to score the second goal for the black and white team. The first half ended with the home team in the lead. The red and black team will have to chase the deficit in the second half.

For the second half, coach Celso Silva made three substitutions to try and reverse the result. And the changes had an immediate effect. In the 12th minute, mom Cris received a pass from Mariana and placed a shot into the top right corner of the goal to reduce the deficit: 2-1. 

Flamengo equalized in the 30th minute with a fantastic goal. From the right side, Jucinara took a free kick directly at goal, and the ball went into the top right corner of the net: 2-2. In the final minutes, the red-and-black team pushed forward to try and score the winning goal, but the match ended in a draw.
