The game
Flamengo started the match by taking an early lead at Laranjeiras. Darlene set up a screen for Gisseli, who passed it back to the number 7, who provided a sweet pass for Crivelari to tap home: 1-0. With the advantage, the Meninas da Gávea controlled possession and exchanged passes in the attacking half.
In the 18th minute, Monalisa crossed into the box and Crivelari headed the ball wide. The red-and-black team continued to press their opponents. Cris stole the ball in midfield and passed it to Crivelari, who took a shot. The goalkeeper jumped to the corner and put it out for a corner. In the 35th minute, Jucinara took a free kick from distance and forced the goalkeeper to palm it away.
In the final minutes of the first half, Mengão extended their lead! Darlene received the ball at the edge of the box, beat her defender, and fired a shot into the corner. A beautiful goal from the number 7! The Meninas da Gávea went into halftime leading 2-0.
In the second half, Fluminense continued to dominate possession and seek attack. Needing to score, Fluminense had to push forward more and create some opportunities. In the third minute, Claudinha's header reduced the deficit for the home team: 2-1.
Once the Tricolor pressure subsided, the Meninas da Gávea regained control of possession and exchanged passes. In the 41st minute, after a corner kick, the ball fell to Núbia, who shot toward goal. The defender deflected it for a corner. In the final minutes, Flamengo kept the ball down and managed to win the derby.
