Part of Flamengo's U-20 team had a great experience this Tuesday morning (31). The Meninas da Gávea played, for the second consecutive year, a friendly against the USA All-Stars team (a selection of athletes who play in the NCAA). The match was very disputed and ended 3-2 for the Americans. The red-black goals were scored by Ingrid Santos and Aline.

The game

Significantly changed by the Brazilian Championship semifinals, the Mais Querido took the initiative and created a few opportunities. In the 20th minute, Jamille delivered a beautiful pass to Ingrid Santos. The forward controlled the ball with ease, went after the defender, burst into the box, and struck powerfully: 1-0. Soon after, Jufo had a good chance, but shot over. The score remained that way until halftime.

In the second half, the opposing team scored three goals in a row, but Mengão came from behind, pulling one back through Aline after a beautiful solo play by Ingrid Santos, and searching for an equalizer until the final whistle, but failed. Despite the setback on the field, the club's women's soccer team improved even more today. Goal achieved.

Flamengo lineup

Duda Werneck (Isa Cruz); Rayane (Rayssa Wenceslau), Jamille, Bruna and Parazinha (Tais, later Estefany); Malu (Rayssa Silva), Urbano (Myla) and Brenda; Bela Souza (Aline), Driely (Jufo) and Ingrid Santos.
Coach: Celso Silva.

Hey, Malu!

"I'm very happy about the friendly; after all, this cultural exchange is a unique opportunity. Furthermore, we learned about a different game model, which certainly adds a lot. The internationalization of the brand is very important for the club, and this type of situation contributes significantly. I felt honored to be part of this moment with the Manto Sagrado."
