In an electrifying duel, Mengão beat Ferroviária 2-1 in the Women's Brasileirão
Rubro-Negro has a great performance away from home and wins three more points in the competition with goals from Cristiane and Glaucia

It was based on grit. On dedication. On tactical obedience. On commitment. And, of course, intensity. These five pillars made the difference on Sunday morning (4) and Flamengo beat Ferroviária 2-1, at Fonte Luminosa, in a match valid for the Brasileirão Feminino.
The game
The red-and-black pressure paid off right away, and Flamengo gave Ferroviária no room to play. Little by little, Rosana Augusto's team began to dominate the game and took control. The first good opportunity came in the 23rd minute: Cristiane crossed, and Fernanda nearly scored. In the 32nd minute, Glaucia tried to block Cristiane, but goalkeeper Luciana was well-placed. Before halftime, Jucinara crossed, Mariana headed firmly, and the opposing goalkeeper performed a miracle, keeping the score level.
In the second half, the Mais Querido (Team of the Year) prevailed and soon took the lead. In the fifth minute, Monalisa passed to Fernanda, and the number 32 player lifted the ball perfectly onto Cristiane's head: 1-0. As the ball came out, the team recovered the ball, and the play practically repeated itself. Mariana ran through the middle and passed to Fernanda. Once again, the attacking midfielder crossed, and this time, Glaucia found the back of the net: 2-0.
With the advantage, the Meninas da Gávea controlled the game and left everything on the field. Ferroviária created a few chances, but Vivi Holzel used all her experience to cool the game and give them some peace of mind. In the 53rd minute, Vendito pulled one back, but the victory was sealed: 2-1. At the final whistle, the players celebrated wildly, confirming that the group is clearly improving this season.
