On Saturday morning (23), Flamengo beat Portuguesa 9-0, in the sixth round of the Guanabara Cup, at CEFAN. Mengão remains undefeated in the competition, with six wins in six matches.

The game

Flamengo started the match dominating the action in search of a goal. In the opening minutes, the team kept the ball in the attacking half, chasing the first opportunity.

After a few attempts that failed to result in a goal, in the 8th minute, following a mistake on Portuguesa's goal kick, Darlene intercepted the ball and shot from outside the box, hitting the post. Pimentinha's shot from the rebound was saved by the opposing goalkeeper.

In the 15th minute, Rafa Barros took a free kick from the right that dangerously crossed the box. Following a beautiful pass from Darlene, Pimenta faced the goal and shot, but Thamires saved. Mengão's goal was ripe.

After the break, Flamengo launched a powerful counterattack after a corner kick for Portuguesa, creating a dangerous attack down the left. Sorriso's pass was on target, but the opposing defender blocked it at the last moment.

In the 35th minute, Sorriso took a corner kick from the right and found Renata in the center of the box; the Flamengo defender rose well and headed the ball into the net: 1-0 Flamengo. This was Renata's first goal of the competition; Sorriso provided her third assist.

The advantage on the scoreboard didn't sway the Meninas da Gávea. In the minutes following the goal, Flamengo attacked with a long-range shot from Darlene, a cross from Rayanne, and even a run by Sorriso, which was blocked just as she was about to shoot. In the 43rd minute, after a beautiful one-two between Darlene and Pimenta, the Flamengo striker fired a fine shot, but the ball just went wide.

The Mais Querido's persistent attacking late in the first half paid off. In the 45th minute, after a beautiful pass from Rayanne on the right, Pimentinha received the ball inside the box, controlled it with his chest, and made no mistake: 2-0 Flamengo.

The Mais Querido returned for the second half with the red-and-black Manto and soon created a threat from the right, with Pimentinha, but Dani Ortolan had her shot blocked. In the 11th minute, Darlene took a corner kick, but Cida headed it in, forcing a fine save from the Portuguesa goalkeeper.

In the 15th minute, Darlene lifted the ball into the box and the team's top scorer, Pimenta, rose to score her tenth goal of the competition: 3-0 Flamengo. When Pimenta is blonde, forget it!

Next, Rayanne received the ball at the edge of the box and shot with great skill, but it hit the post; still at the end of the move, Darlene tried it and almost extended the lead.

In the 25th minute, Sorriso took a free kick into the corner, and the rebound fell to Dani Ortolan, who slotted it into the back of the net, scoring Mengão's fourth goal. In the 34th minute, Rayanne released Pimenta into the box, the Flamengo forward was pulled down, and the referee signaled a penalty. Darlene's shot went one way, the goalkeeper the other: 5-0.

As the ball kicked off, the girls regained possession and immediately went on the attack. In the play following Darlene's penalty, Gávea's number 27 had the opportunity to take a free kick from the edge of the box. There was no way around it, Darlene slotted it back in for her second of the match, eighth in the competition, and Rubro-Negro's sixth of the match.

In the 42nd minute, as Mengão ran down the left, Jayanne crossed and found Dani Ortolan in the area, who headed the ball into the corner to make it 7-0 Flamengo.

Late in the match, Carlinha made a run down the right and found Rayanne in the box. The full-back pulled the ball onto her left foot and scored a stunning goal! And it didn't stop there: in the final minute of the match, Andressa received the ball at the edge of the box and shot; the ball deflected off Portuguesa's defense and over the goalkeeper, in yet another masterpiece! Flamengo's ninth goal sealed the match.
