After two good victories - one in the Brasileirão and another in the Copa Rio - the Mengão women's soccer team was at the official headquarters of Mais Querido on the morning of this Friday (4), in the Rogério Steinberg auditorium, in Gávea. The athletes trained in the morning and, in the early afternoon, attended a lecture on sports law.

Various topics were discussed, including sanctions and penalties for on- and off-field behavior, rights and responsibilities, the club's code of conduct, doping control, and sports betting. The discussion included Flávio Willeman, vice president general and legal, director Alexandre Marques, manager André Galdeano, coordinator Rodrigo Frangelli, and Gabriela Messetti, a soccer legal specialist. Representatives from the department also took advantage of the meeting to answer questions from the club's players.

One of the sport's greatest names throughout history and a reference within high-performance sport, striker Cristiane actively participated, asked some questions and valued the action.

"For us athletes, this type of talk is essential. Gaining knowledge on recurring topics like the ones presented to us today helps experienced players and, of course, those just starting out. We have many young players on our roster, and all guidance is important. We have to be an example for those who watch the sport, and good behavior involves awareness and knowledge of the rules. As a group, it was super important to have this conversation," she commented.
