With an eye on the upcoming competitions this season, Flamengo has signed another addition to its women's soccer squad: Vitória Almeida. The striker, who previously played for Valencia and excelled in Portugal, has signed a contract until 2026 and is now available to the coaching staff for training at CEFAN.
A native of Roraima, Vitória took her first steps in futsal, gradually transitioning to the field and bouncing around with clubs in the region before signing with 3B da Amazônia, where she attracted attention and was called up to the U-20 national team. She then spent time in Japan and China before landing in Portugal. In her first year, she shone for Famalicão, scoring 25 goals in 24 games. Her performance caught the attention of Braga, and she enjoyed some great moments there, including winning the League Cup.
A center forward of great height, good movement and a keen eye for goal, the new Menina da Gávea is excellent in the air, has finishing as a strong point and arrives from Spain ready to fulfill her childhood dream of wearing the Sacred Mantle.
"I'm very happy to play for the team I've supported since childhood. I remember when I started and set myself the goal of playing for Flamengo, and it's like a movie playing in my head. It will be an honor to represent the nation, and I'm sure that with hard work and commitment, we will achieve our goals," he commented.
