There's a new defender arriving in the red-black women's soccer team! Flávia Mota, 23, signed a contract until 2026 and is the fifth confirmed reinforcement for the season. She arrived in Rio de Janeiro in the early hours of this Sunday (5) and will be present at the team's return later this week.

Flávia was born in Manacapuru, Amazonas state, and was discovered by Iranduba, where she excelled and was called up to the Brazilian U-20 national team. She then played for América Mineiro and transferred to Red Bull Bragantino. In Bragança Paulista, she was part of the team that won the Brasileirão A2 title alongside goalkeeper Karol Alves, now with Mengão. She subsequently caught the attention of Palmeiras, where she spent the last two years.

Fast and highly technical, the defender excels in the air and also stands out for her precision in tackles and long passes. Aware of the responsibility, she hopes to win the title wearing the Sacred Mantle.

"I'm happy to be joining such a great club; it's a privilege. I'll do my best to help Flamengo achieve all its goals and win titles in 2025," he emphasized.
