Born in São Paulo, Isa Cruz arrived in Rio de Janeiro in May 2022 to pursue her dream of becoming a high-performance athlete in women's soccer. It was the beginning of a journey—with the club—of great matches, happy moments, titles, and a connection that transcends the field. And a relationship marked by dedication, commitment, and immense talent. 

The goalkeeper shone in the U-20 team's three most important victories: the Copinha Championship—including a penalty save in the semifinal against São Paulo—, the Carioca Championship, and the Brasileirão Championship—also with a penalty save in the semifinal, this time against Internacional. It's impossible to recall these titles without mentioning her importance, not only for her performances, but also for her leadership. The end of 2024 marked the end of an era. Cruz was permanently promoted to the professional team and now receives another significant upgrade: she signed a contract extension until 2028. It's only fair. 

"I'm very happy and completely fulfilled. From my first day here, I wore the Manto with all the passion in the world, knowing it was different. Being a professional is a dream come true. It's even difficult to put into words so many feelings at once. Flamengo opened doors for me, gave me opportunities I'd never had before, and I'll always be grateful. The goal is to keep evolving," she said.

In her daily life, the goalkeeper is always recognized for her work. She's one of the first players onto the field for training and one of the last to leave. She recently earned a golden opportunity and made her debut for the first team in the Super Cup. She performed well in both matches of the competition and justified her starting spot with some great performances. Participating even in playmaking, she received praise from her teammates and pleased the coaching staff.

"When I found out I was going to play, I was very excited and stayed focused. I think that made all the difference. It was a unique feeling to be able to debut in such a big competition as the Super Cup and play two matches. I tried to give my best, and it will always be that way. This is just the beginning of my story in this new phase, and I know I need to keep working hard to grow and win titles," she highlighted.

The 20-year-old's career move is a source of pride. Almost three years after arriving, she feels a sense of accomplishment at the youth academy, but anyone who thinks she's satisfied is mistaken. She wants more. Much more. And she knows everything she needs to do to stay strong and maintain her performances under the goalposts. Not forgetting, of course, her love for Mengão.

"I've already achieved many of the goals I set for myself, but I want to increasingly find my place to pursue new dreams. Renewing for four more seasons, including this one, is proof that they believe in my potential, and I will repay that trust. Every time I hear the name Flamengo, the word that comes to mind is love. I love this club so much," he concluded.
