Flamengo beats Fluminense and wins its fourth consecutive victory in the Brasileirão Women's Championship

Continuing the good moment, Flamengo won the classic against Fluminense, 3-1, this Monday (13), at the Luso-Brasileiro stadium, in the 10th round of the Brasileirão Feminino. Gisseli and Cristiane (twice) scored the goals for Mengão, who achieved their fourth consecutive victory and are in fifth place with 17 points.

The game
The Gávea Girls started the match at full speed and opened the scoring after just two minutes. After stealing the ball in midfield, Gisseli advanced at speed, entered the box, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and finished into the net: 1-0.

After the goal, Fluminense was forced to attack in search of an equalizer, but the red-and-black team also continued to try to extend their lead. In the 15th minute, Fabi Simões arrived well on the right and shot across goal, but the Tricolor goalkeeper made a good save.

In the final stretch of the first half, Mengão extended their lead with Cristiane! Gisseli passed to the striker, who struck first time into the corner to score the second goal for the red-black team: 2-0. 

In stoppage time, Karol Alves shone, making two consecutive saves, preventing the opponent from reducing the deficit. With that, the Meninas da Gávea went into the break with a healthy lead.

In the second half, Mais Querido continued to attack in search of more goals. In the 16th minute, Glaucia made an individual play, burst into the box, and struck hard. The goalkeeper palmed it away for a corner.

Needing to score, Fluminense began to reach the red-and-black box more frequently, but without threatening goalkeeper Karol Alves much. In the final minutes, the Tricolor reduced the deficit with a beautiful free kick from Carol Alves: 2-1.

In stoppage time, Mengão scored their third goal thanks to Cris! The ball fell to the top scorer in midfield, and she found the goalkeeper's right corner to seal the victory. It's worth noting that,With this goal, Cristiane reached the second position in the Brasileirão's top scorers list with 11 goals.

Now, Flamengo has reached fifth place in the Brasileirão with 17 points.
