The Rio de Janeiro State Football Confederation (FERJ) has released the rules and updated schedule for the U-18 Rio de Janeiro State Championship. The competition was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, making this the second edition. Nine clubs will participate in total. Mengão is in Group A and will face Cesc Heips, Duque de Caxias, Fluminense, and Serra Macaense.

Quite reinforced (the last to arrive was the defender Kethilyn), Mais Querido is training hard at CEFAN and will be seeking the title for the first time. One of the team's standouts, right-back Ana Laura, didn't hesitate and emphasized that the focus is lift the trophy.

"We're preparing to do well in the competition. We're completely confident that we'll perform well; after all, we want to be champions. This achievement is desired by all the athletes, the coaching staff, and everyone involved in our day-to-day operations. We'll do everything we can to win," she declared.
