Flamengo signs six players for the U-18 women's soccer team
Agatha, Alice, Ana Laura, Bia Araújo, Flávia and Gaby Araújo arrive to join the squad that will compete in the Brasileirão
By Rafael Rezende - inWith the Brazilian Under-18 Championship approaching, Flamengo has signed six new players: goalkeepers Agatha and Alice, right-back Ana Laura, defender Bia Araújo, forward Flávia, and left-back/defensive midfielder Gaby Araújo. All have already reported to CEFAN and begun training.
"Just like with the professional team, we'll spare no effort to recruit quality athletes for the U-18 team. This group includes a player who has played for the Brazilian national team, an athlete who competed in the Brazilian A2 Championship, and other important experiences. Our goal in this category is to develop girls who can effectively integrate into the main group. Ana Portugal, Kaylane, Maria Peck, and Naely are some examples who stood out in the Brazilian Championship and are now making us proud. We're keeping an eye on the market and will bring in more reinforcements," emphasized André Rocha, the club's women's soccer coordinator.
