Flamengo and Avon together in red-black women's football

Mais Querido formalizes partnership with world-leading company in the uniform sleeve beauty market

Brazilian champions and three-time state champions, the Flamengo/Marinha women's soccer team have another reason to celebrate. To increase women's visibility in the sports scene, Flamengo and Avon officially announce a partnership for the sport until the end of 2018. The commercial property, in this case, is the sleeves of the Flamengo squad's uniforms.

"Flamengo is very proud of its athletes. Women's soccer is increasingly important to our society and will only reach its rightful place with the commitment of clubs, sponsors, and fans. Avon is to be congratulated for joining this challenge, as a brand committed to women's issues, equal opportunities, and rights. As a club, we still have a long way to go, and we know this, but this story, in partnership with the Brazilian Navy, opens another chapter in its history with this important partnership. I want to thank everyone who has fought for women's soccer and who will continue to fight from now on," says CRF Vice President of Marketing, Daniel Orlean.

The Avon Institute, Avon's social investment arm, will be one of the partners involved in developing actions and activities involving female empowerment in this project.

"We are a brand that, for over 130 years, has worked to empower women and value beauty that goes far beyond cosmetic products. We are proud to work every day to make women's voices heard louder and louder. Supporting women's sports reinforces our belief in the importance of women occupying spaces in all areas. Associating our internationally recognized brand with the club with the largest fan base in the world makes perfect sense!" says Mafoane Odara, project coordinator at the Avon Institute.

The contract between Avon and Mais Querido is valid until December 31, 2018. During this period, Flamengo/Marinha will compete in the Brazilian Championship and the Carioca Championship.
