Leader of the first phase of the Campeonato Carioca with 18 points and 50 goals scored, Flamengo will have one more commitment in the final stretch of the season: the Brasil Ladies Cup, a competition organized by FIFOS (International Federation of Football Soccer Society), which will be held in São Paulo, between December 12 and 19.

A total of eight teams will participate in the tournament, including the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved): América de Cali-COL, Ferroviária, Palmeiras, River Plate-ARG, Santos, Santiago Morning-CHI, and São Paulo. All matches, except the final, will be played at the recently inaugurated Santana de Parnaíba Municipal Stadium.

"We were very enthusiastic about the invitation to participate in the competition. This shows that everyone is already noticing the new momentum for the club's women's soccer. We're focused on the pursuit of the Rio title, but we know how important an event like this is to our calendar. Unfortunately, we won't be able to count on some reinforcements who only arrive in 2022, but we'll all be committed to a great performance in São Paulo," said André Rocha, the club's women's soccer coordinator.

Before thinking about the future, the focus is on the State Championship. This Monday (25), the Meninas da Gávea returned to CEFAN and began preparing for the classic against Vasco, next weekend.
