In the tenth round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo lost to Corinthians 3-0 on Thursday afternoon (27), in Gávea. Rubro-Negro occupies the tenth place in the championship with 11 points.
The game
The match started evenly, with Flamengo pressing high and pressuring Corinthians's attack. Just five minutes in, the Meninas da Gávea created a threat for the first time. Jayanne found Ana Carla at the edge of the box, who struck first time. The ball hit the crossbar.
At 15', Corinthians opened the scoring with Adriana, who chipped the ball over goalkeeper Kaká: 1-0. Nine minutes later, the São Paulo team extended their lead with Miriã: 2-0. Fla went into the break trailing on the scoreboard.
In the second half, Corinthians continued to dominate possession and threatened to attack. Corinthians, in turn, tried to play the ball out but struggled to get past the opposing midfield. In the 22nd minute, Jheniffer scored Corinthians' third goal, making it 3-0.
Goalkeeper Kaká was the best figure on the pitch for Flamengo, making great saves and preventing the deficit from widening. With few clear-cut scoring opportunities, Flamengo couldn't hold off Corinthians and left the field defeated.
