In the first leg of the Brasileirão Feminino quarterfinals, Flamengo ended up losing to Santos 3-1 this Sunday (18), at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium. Leidiane scored the only goal for the red-black team. Now, the Meninas da Gávea need to win by two to take the decision to penalties in the second leg, at Vila Belmiro.

The game
At the start of the first half, Santos started more focused and opened the scoring after just three minutes with Yaya, who finished inside the six-yard box: 1-0. In the 8th minute, Flamengo evened things up with a stunning lob from Crivelari, but the referee ruled the Flamengo forward offside. After a VAR check, the offside was confirmed.

The Meninas da Gávea struggled to create attacking plays, while Santos pressured the red-and-blacks' ball out and remained more present in the attacking half. In the 26th minute, the Red-and-Blacks created a great opportunity. Monalisa launched a ball into the box, Crivelari laid it off for Sole Jaimes to finish for the goal. The ball hit the post and came back to defender Camila Martins, who cleared it for a corner.

In the 39th minute, Mengão tied the score! Rayanne crossed from the right, the ball went past Thaisa and Leidiane was left to tap it into the net: 1-1. The first half ended in a draw at Raulino de Oliveira.

Flamengo had the first big chance of the second half. Sole Jaimes received the ball inside the box and passed it to Duda, who dribbled past the defense and shot, but the Santos goalkeeper saved. The Sereias da Vila also missed a great opportunity in the 12th minute with Cristiane.

In the 23rd minute, Monalisa crossed from the left and Leidiane headed over the bar. Despite creating chances up front, Santos ended up scoring their second goal in the 27th minute, with Cristiane heading in: 2-1.
A few minutes later, the São Paulo team extended their lead with Thaisinha, who took advantage of the red-black defense's indecision: 3-1.

The Meninas da Gávea went after the deficit and nearly scored a second in the 41st minute. Duda received the ball on the right and crossed into the box, Monalisa made a strong catch, and the ball went just wide of the post. Game over in Volta Redonda. The Rubro-Negro will need to win by two goals in the second leg to take the decision to penalties.
