After a brief break in the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo returned to the field this Friday (7) and drew with Grêmio 1-1, at the Luso-Brasileiro stadium, in a game valid for the 12th round of the national competition. Glaucia scored the red-black goal early in the second half. With 18 points, the Meninas da Gávea rose to fifth place in the league table.
The game
The match started evenly, with both teams fighting for possession. When they had possession, the red-and-black team tried to exchange passes in the attacking half. Grêmio, in turn, also started to attack, and took the lead in the seventh minute through defender Tayla. The Tricolor defender took advantage of a rebound inside the box to open the scoring: 1-0.
In the 13th minute, Flamengo attacked well with Gisseli on the right side of the box. She cut inside and took a shot, but the goalkeeper saved it. Seeking an equalizer, the Meninas da Gávea tried to exchange passes up front, but struggled to create any chances. In the 31st minute, Cristiane delivered a beautiful backheel pass to Glaucia, who finished first time. The ball went just wide of the post.
After the 30th minute, Rubro-Negro improved their performance and began to pose more threats to the opponent's box. In the 36th minute, Cristiane delivered a great pass to Gisseli, who struck hard. The goalkeeper managed to prevent the goal. The first half ended with the opponents in the lead.
Less than a minute into the second half, Mengão tied the score. Cristiane chested the ball down to Glaucia, who fired a first-time shot into the goalkeeper's corner: 1-1. With the tie, the red-and-black team went all out in search of a comeback. In the 10th minute, after a corner kick in the box, Duda rose unmarked and headed the ball firmly. The goalkeeper cleared it for a corner.
In the 29th minute, Djeni took a free kick from midfield, and the ball sailed dangerously over the goal. In the next play, Glaucia received the ball on the right side of the box and crossed low for Djeni to hit first time. The ball sailed over the crossbar.
The Mais Querido (the most beloved team) continued to pressure their opponents in search of a comeback. In the 37th minute, Crivelari received the ball in the box and shot, but the goalkeeper made another good save. The Meninas da Gávea (the girls from Gávea) tried to score the winner until the last minute, but the match ended in a draw.
