The game
The match began with both teams closely studying each other. In the eighth minute, São Paulo opened the scoring with Pardal, who headed in a corner kick: 1-0. After conceding the goal, the Meninas da Gávea began to keep possession of the ball more, seeking attacking moves and passing.

In the final part of the first half, the game became very tight, with fouls on both sides committing fouls. Flamengo tried to pass the ball around, but struggled in the transition from defense to attack. The first half ended with the São Paulo team in the lead.

After the break, São Paulo continued to create attacking opportunities. In the 15th minute, São Paulo created the best scoring opportunity of the match. Thaísa took a shot from outside the box, but the ball hit the crossbar. Maria Alves fired the rebound wide.
