Flamengo is defeated by Ferroviária 2-1 in the Copinha quarterfinals
With this result, Rubro-Negro ended its participation in the second edition of the tournament.

This Sunday (8), Flamengo took to the field to face Ferroviária in the quarterfinals of the Women's Cup and lost 2-1. Carol Martins scored the goal for Rubro-Negro. With the defeat, the current champions are eliminated from the tournament.
Game
The match started off well-balanced between the two teams, with few dangerous chances. Until the ninth minute, Letícia sent a corner kick to Mariana, who headed the ball into the net, but the goalkeeper saved it. In the 19th minute, Ferroviária opened the scoring.
Flamengo tried to respond with Anna Luiza: the number 10 received the pass and shot over the goal.
Late in the first half, Mariana made a good run down the right and passed the ball back to Ingrid, who fired a low shot wide. On the next play, Kaylane Vieira received a through ball and shot with a bounce, but the goalkeeper cleared it for a goal kick. Carol Martins equalized the match before halftime from a corner kick: 1-1.
The game remained evenly balanced in the second half. In the 15th minute, Ingrid pivoted, turned, and shot, but the goalkeeper saved.
The Gávea Girls continued to look for a comeback, trying to get Kaylane Vieira to take the ball on the left, beat her opponent, and deflect a shot past the post. From the corner, Letícia sent a short pass to Emilly, who passed it back to the number 6, but the defender cleared it off the line. In the 24th minute, Ferroviária scored their second.
Flamengo attacked again with a free kick from Mariana, which hit the crossbar. In the last minute, Mariana lifted the ball to Alice, who fired over. Despite numerous attempts, Mengão was unable to equalize or turn the game around and lost 2-1.
