Flamengo took to the field today to face Corinthians in the 3rd round of the Brazilian Women's Championship and was defeated by a score of 3 to 2. Darlene and Glaucia, who came on in the second half, scored the goals for the red-black team.

The game

The match started well-studied. In the first play, Duda took a shot from midfield to try and surprise the goalkeeper, but the ball was saved. In the next play, Cristiane and Jucinara exchanged passes, and the number 11 shot was saved by the opponent.

In the 21st minute of the first half, Darlene opened the scoring for Flamengo after the ball was poorly passed back to the goalkeeper and she shot straight at number 7, who just pushed it into the empty net. 

Taking advantage of the goal, the Meninas da Gávea (Girls from Gávea) surged forward, and Duda found a beautiful pass to Darlene, who sent a low cross, but it was intercepted. The ball narrowly missed Cristiane. In the 38th minute, Corinthians tied the match.
The first half ended all equal, 1-1.

After the break, the Red-Blacks started better. Crivelari made a good individual play and shot dangerously from outside the box, but the ball went over the goal. With the game fairly even, the girls had few chances until Cristiane received a beautiful pass, leaving her face-to-face with the goalkeeper.

Corinthians turned the game around in the 33rd minute. Their opponents then doubled their lead. In stoppage time, Glaucia, who came on in the second half, shot from the middle of the field, but the ball deflected, giving Flamengo their second goal. The match ended 3-2 to the visitors.

Next appointment
The Girls from Gávea will face the Atlético Mineiro team in the 4th round of the Brazilian Championship, next Friday (29), at the Castor Cifuentes Stadium.
