After a break for the Paris Olympics, the Brasileirão Feminino is back! In the 14th round of the competition, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Avaí/Kindermann on Saturday morning (17) at the Salézio Kindermann stadium. Djeni scored the red-black goal with a free kick. In the last round, the Meninas da Gávea face Ferroviária at home to decide the classification for the next phase of the competition.

The game
The Girls from Gávea started the match looking to attack. Looking for the first goal early on, the red-and-black team exchanged passes in the attacking half and circled Avaí's box. It's worth highlighting Flamengo's strong marking, which pressured the opponent's ball out.

Avaí's favorite team opened the scoring with Duda in the 24th minute, but the referee called a foul on Avaí's defender. Ten minutes later, Glaucia took a shot from outside the box, but the ball flew past the goalkeeper's right post. In the 35th minute, Avaí took the lead with a header from Brenda: 1-0. The first half ended with the home team in the lead.

Needing to turn the score around, Flamengo returned for the second half attacking with one change: Valéria Cantuário in place of Glaucia. And just three minutes in, the Meninas da Gávea leveled the score. Captain Djeni took a skillful free kick, and the ball went into the corner: 1-1.

The Mais Querido nearly turned the game around in the 13th minute. After a cross from the left, debutant Valéria Cantuário hit it first time in the six-yard box, but the ball went too high and over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Gisseli hit it first time inside the box, and the ball went to the left of the goalkeeper.

In the final stretch, Flamengo continued to press for the winning goal, but the match ended in a draw in Santa Catarina. The Meninas da Gávea will decide their place in the next round in the final round.

The Girls from Gávea return to the field next Wednesday (21) to face Ferroviária, at 15 pm, at the Luso-Brasileiro stadium, in the last round of the first phase of the Brasileirão Feminino.
