The game

The match started excellently for the Rubro-Negro, who worked the ball easily in midfield and created good opportunities in attack. In the 7th minute, a perfect pass from Ju Ferreira found the head of top scorer Cristiane in the penalty area to open the scoring. After the first goal, Mengão continued to dictate the pace of the game, creating even more attacking chances until, in the 32nd minute, Laysa hit a cannon shot from outside the box to score the second. 

Even more comfortable in the match, Flamengo continued to press and, following Bahia's error, launched another counterattack, with Glaucia breaking into the game at speed. The attacking midfielder made a great read on Bahia's defense and provided the perfect pass to Fernanda, who finished from inside the penalty area to seal Mengão's third goal in the 39th minute. 

In the second half, Flamengo made two changes. Monalisa and Driely came on to replace Laysa and Ju Ferreira. Flamengo faced a different Bahia team, both in terms of squad and mentality. The Bahians came out on top and managed to impose more pace on the game. In the 5th minute, Bahia squandered their first good chance when they hit a free kick near the half-moon, but in the 13th minute, they found the back of the net on another set piece opportunity. In the 24th minute, Cristiane found a good opportunity to extend the lead after Bahia goalkeeper Aila misjudged the ball, but failed to convert. Shortly after, the referee awarded a penalty to defender Agus for fouling forward Cássia, and Bahia converted the second. 

In the 30th minute, a throw-in sparks a scramble in the Flamengo box, and Ellen scores Bahia's third. Flamengo makes two more changes in an attempt to break the tie: Glaucia is replaced by Leidiane, and Driely is replaced by Val Cantuário. Flamengo creates a few chances but fails to score, tying the match 3-3 at the Joia da Princesa stadium.

Flamengo returns to the field this Sunday (30), at 18 pm, against 3B da Amazônia, at Luso Brasileiro. The match is valid for the third round of the Brasileirão Feminino.
