On the afternoon of this Wednesday (8), International Women's Day, Flamengo drew with Botafogo 1-1, at Caio Martins, in a duel valid for the third round of the Copa Rio Feminina. The red-black goal was scored by striker Duda Rodrigues in the second half. 

The game

The match started evenly, with both teams studying each other and creating few chances in the opening minutes. After the timeout, Mengão tried with Cris and Gica, but failed. In the final stretch of the first half, Botafogo opened the scoring with a free kick from Chai. 

Mengão returned from the break with changes and grew. Right away, Duda lined up but couldn't finish. Cris then passed to Duda Rodrigues, and the striker fired over the bar. In the 27th minute, Leidiane won the challenge and crossed for Duda Rodrigues to head home, making it 1-1. In stoppage time, Sole Jaimes took two chances from outside the box and nearly turned the score around. Despite the red-and-black pressure, the derby ended in a draw.

The Girls from Gávea now face Real Ariquemes next Saturday (11), at 16:30 pm, at the Aluízio Ferreira Stadium, for the Women's Brasileirão.
