On the morning of this Thursday (9), in a duel played at the Nilton Santos Stadium, Flamengo drew with Botafogo 1-1. The red-black goal was scored by attacking midfielder Glaucia, in the second half.

The game

The match started quite tensely, with few chances for either side. On a counterattack, Botafogo created a dangerous opportunity, and goalkeeper Karol Alves made a great save. Jucinara then took a corner kick, Vitória Almeida deflected it, and no one checked. In the 40th minute, Duda Rodrigues crossed and the ball hit the defender's arm, but the referee didn't award a penalty. In the 48th minute, Tipa pounced on a rebound and opened the scoring for the opposing team. On the breakaway and in the final play of the first half, Djeni hit a powerful shot, and Michelle saved. 

After the break, Flamengo improved and took control of the derby. Mariana and Vitória Almeida created the best chances, and in a beautiful move by the number 9, Glaucia received the ball in the penalty area and fired home a first-time shot: 1-1. 

The goal forced the team to press even harder, playing mostly in the attacking half. After the timeout, Agustina—who had a great second half—nearly missed extending the lead with a header. In the closing stages, Fernanda took a shot from distance, but Djeni was stopped by goalkeeper Michelle, and the match ended in a draw.
