In a fairly balanced match at CERET, Flamengo drew 2-2 with Corinthians on Sunday night (7), for the second round of the Women's Copinha. The Flamengo goals were scored by Ana Papel and an own goal. With this result, Mais Querido remained in the lead of the group due to goal difference and needs a simple victory against Criciúma to advance.

The game

The game started with Flamengo dominating, creating a dangerous chance with Ana Papel hitting the post, but the ball rolled out of play. Shortly after, Brendha turned past the defender and shot wide. Despite this favorable moment, Corinthians opened the scoring through Rayane, on a play down the left flank. Anna Luiza broke away at speed, leaving the opposing defense behind, and passed to Ana Papel who put the ball in the net: 1-1. Five minutes later, Condorelli played a long ball, Brendha challenged in the air, and Dani Pereira scored an own goal: 2-1. Before halftime, the team managed by Filipe Torres had a few more opportunities, but the score remained 0-0.

In the second half, Corinthians changed their approach and began to apply pressure. Flamengo resisted for a while, but in the eleventh minute, from a corner kick, Helô Camargo took advantage of a lapse in concentration and equalized: 2-2. Faced with this situation, the Flamengo women's team tried to attack again, but the match became bogged down. In the 41st minute, Kaylane Vieira forced Ana Morganti to make a miraculous save. And in the 43rd minute, in the final moments, Emilly dribbled past several defenders and hit the post. The 2-2 draw leaves Flamengo in control of their own destiny.

Mengão returns to the field on Wednesday (10), to face Criciúma, at 20 pm, for the last round of the first phase.
