In a very close duel for the fourth round of the Brazilian Women's Championship, Flamengo drew with Cruzeiro 1-1 on Friday night (20), at Luso-Brasileiro. The Minas Gerais team opened the scoring at the beginning of the second half, and Mariana made it all square for the Flamengo women in the final stretch of the match. With the result, the red-blacks totaled eight points and remain undefeated in the championship.

The game

The match began with Cruzeiro showing more attacking intent, managing to maintain possession in the attacking third for longer periods. On the other hand, Flamengo's women's team sought to counter-attack and catch the Minas Gerais defense off guard. The initial minutes were marked by intensity and a fierce battle for possession, especially in Cruzeiro's attacking midfield.

At 17 minutes, Cristiane took a long-range shot, the ball went high and over Camila Rodrigues' goal. When trying to play out from the back, the Flamengo team found it difficult to transition to attack due to Cruzeiro's style of play, which involved pushing up their defensive line to try and win the ball back.

In the final stretch of the first half, Flamengo had two opportunities to open the scoring. The first was with Djeni, who shot point-blank, forcing a save from Camila. On the rebound, Núbia headed the ball towards goal, but the Cruzeiro goalkeeper made another great save, tipping it over the bar. The Flamengo women's team improved in the final minutes and almost managed to take the lead before halftime.

At the start of the second half, it was Vivi Holzel's turn to work. Ravenna took a shot, and the Flamengo goalkeeper made a great save. On the rebound, the Cruzeiro striker shot again, and Vivi saved once more. The game unfolded similarly to the first half, with the Minas Gerais team controlling possession more and attacking with more danger.

After much persistence, Cruzeiro opened the scoring in the 19th minute. Marília received the pass inside the area and shot low into the corner to beat Vivi Holzel. After a few missed chances, the Minas Gerais team took the lead: 1-0.

Trailing behind, the Flamengo women's team went on the attack and sought the equalizer in the 38th minute. On their third consecutive corner kick, the ball remained loose in the area and fell to Mariana's feet, who sent it into the back of the net to level the score: 1-1.

The turnaround almost came four minutes later. Cristiane received the ball in the area and shot, forcing a save from Camila. On the rebound, the number 11 herself shot towards goal, and Vitória Calhau made a diving save almost on the goal line. Flamengo continued to attack and had another great chance shortly after. Kaylane, who had just come on, shot powerfully, forcing another great save from the Cruzeiro goalkeeper.

In the eight minutes of added time, the game went back and forth, with both teams searching for the winning goal, but the match ended in a draw at Luso-Brasileiro. With this result, Flamengo earned another point and remains undefeated in the Brazilian Women's Championship.
