Playing away from home, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Cruzeiro this Wednesday (30), at the Castor Cifuentes stadium, in the eighth round of the Brasileirão Feminino. Jucinara, from a free kick, scored the only goal for the red-black team. Now, the Meninas da Gávea face Ferroviária, again away from home.

The game

The match began with Cruzeiro dominating possession, exchanging passes in the attacking half. The Meninas da Gávea's first good chance came in the 11th minute with Cristiane. The number 11 received the ball on the left side of the box and took a shot. The ball went just wide of the post. 

Throughout the first half, the Minas Gerais team valued possession in the attacking half. Flamengo, in turn, pressed hard and sought counterattacks. In the final minutes, Mengão opened the scoring with a stunning goal! Jucinara's free kick went into the top corner, but the goalkeeper's effort was wide open: 1-0. The red-and-black team went into halftime ahead. 

In the opening minutes of the second half, Cruzeiro pushed forward in search of an equalizer. Vivi Holzel made two great saves, saving the red-and-black team. In the 18th minute, the red-and-black attack made a good move. Glaucia burst down the right wing, burst into the box, and shot at goal. The goalkeeper made a great save, saving the Minas Gerais team from conceding a second goal. 

Mariana then made a good move down the left and shot toward the goalkeeper's left corner, but the ball went wide. In the 28th minute, Cruzeiro equalized with Leticia, after a back-and-forth in the box: 1-1.

The Girls from Gávea had a great opportunity to score the second in the 45th minute. After a cross into the box, Cruzeiro's defense cleared it, Ju Ferreira collected the rebound, adjusted it, and shot into the top corner. The ball went dangerously wide. Game over in Nova Lima. The Rubro-Negro takes a point back to Rio de Janeiro.
