On the night of last Wednesday (4), Flamengo made its debut in the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship in Santana de Parnaíba-SP. Despite dominating the match throughout and creating some opportunities, Mais Querido drew with Fluminense 0-0 and earned a point. Now, the team led by Celso Silva returns to the field tomorrow, against Cresspom, at 8:30 am.

The game

Applying pressure from the start, Mengão created good plays down the left flank with Ingrid and Duda Rodrigues, but failed to score. Without any scares, the team pressed hard in the final stretch of the first half and had two good opportunities: Núbia's free kick went close, and later, Gica received a good pass in the box, turned, and shot wide.

In the second half, fifteen minutes in, Pimenta came on for Gica and, right away, controlled the ball and shot it straight at goal. Maria Peck then won the ball at the edge of the box and forced a great save from the opposing goalkeeper. In the 23rd minute, Lorena rose alone to take a free kick and headed wide. With the introduction of Anny Marabá, Kaylane Júnior, Letícia, and Pimentinha, the Red-Blacks regained momentum and tried, but were unable to change the score.
