On Saturday morning (27), in a very balanced duel, Flamengo drew with Fluminense 1-1 in the first leg of the final of the U-20 Women's Carioca Championship. The goal for Mais Querido was scored by attacking midfielder Maria Fernanda, still in the first half.
The game
At home, Filipe Torres' team seized the initiative, created good opportunities in the opening minutes, and soon opened the scoring. In the 12th minute, Isabela Nunes took a perfect corner kick, and Maria Fernanda headed it firmly into the back of the net. After the goal, Fluminense capitalized on an aerial play and leveled the score with Carioca. On the next play, Nicoli forced the opposing goalkeeper into a great save, but that was that. The tied score left the match at a standstill until halftime.
Upon returning, Rubro-Negro tried to assert themselves, but were met by Fluminense's strong marking. The team's clearest chance came from a free kick by Cecília, which hit the crossbar. After the timeout, the intensity dropped significantly, and the match ended in a draw. The final will be next week.

The second leg of the final will be on Sunday (5), at 15 pm, at the Marcelo Vieira Stadium.
