On the morning of this Saturday (24), Mengão drew 1-1 with Rio de Janeiro in a duel valid for the second round of the Copa Rio Feminina Sub-17. The match was played at the Telê Santana Stadium (Vila Olímpica de Caxias) and the red-black goal was scored by Larissa, in the second half.
The game
In the opening minutes, the opponent opened the scoring with Gabriela Jordi. Trailing, Filipe Torres' team created a few chances with Isabela Nunes, Jamile, and Laís, but couldn't equalize and went into halftime trailing.
In the second half, the tone of the first half was repeated. Pressing, Flamengo made it difficult for Rio de Janeiro to get the ball out of play and began to play largely in the attacking half. Their dominance only turned into a goal in stoppage time: Larissa won a challenge, performed a beautiful dribble, and slotted home, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 1-1. As the ball came out, Flamengo tried to turn the game around, but failed, and the match ended in a draw.
With four points won in the tournament, the Meninas da Gávea return to the field next weekend, against Bangu, at CEFAN.
