By Romulo Paranhos - inIn the first leg of the Carioca Women's semifinals, Flamengo drew 2-2 with Vasco, on Sunday morning (2), at the Nivaldo Pereira stadium. Núbia and Glaucia scored for the Meninas da Gávea, who will decide the qualification at home. As they had a better campaign in the Taça Guanabara, which culminated in the title, the Meninas da Gávea will have the advantage of a draw to advance to the final of the competition.

The game
The match began with Flamengo's women's team creating two dangerous chances in the first five minutes. But it was Vasco who opened the scoring with Carolzinha, who pounced on the rebound from the Flamengo goalkeeper and finished into the net in the eighth minute: 1-0.
Throughout the first half, Vasco continued to control the game and made it difficult for Flamengo to string passes together. In the 23rd minute, Flamengo came close with a well-placed header from Vitória Almeida that hit the crossbar. Moments later, Agustina received the ball inside the area and shot first-time, but the Vasco defense made a crucial clearance to prevent the equalizer.
In the final minutes, Flamengo leveled the score! Jucinara took a corner kick into the box, the goalkeeper came out poorly, and Núbia simply headed the ball in to tie the game at Nivaldo Pereira: 1-1. The Flamengo women almost took the lead before halftime. Fernanda got the rebound and unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the area. The ball went very close to the goalkeeper's right post. The first half ended in a draw.
In the second half, Vasco returned with greater ball possession, unlike how the first half ended. The Flamengo team, in turn, tried to attack, but found it difficult to enter the opponent's area. Around the 15-minute mark, coach Celso Silva made three substitutions. Fernanda, Monalisa, and Duda Rodrigues left the field, and Flávia Mota, Valéria Cantuário, and Mariana entered.
The changes quickly took effect and Flamengo managed to turn the game around in the 24th minute. Glaucia received the ball inside the area, controlled it, and shot powerfully at mid-height into the corner, giving the goalkeeper no chance: 2-1.
In the final stretch, Vasco tied the game again with Isa Matos, who took advantage of a corner kick to head the ball powerfully past Vivi Holzel: 2-2. In stoppage time, Flamengo pressed for the winning goal, but the draw prevailed in the derby.
