After an extensive preseason in Rio de Janeiro and playing three Copa Rio matches as part of their preparations, it's time for Flamengo to debut in the Women's Super Cup. This Sunday afternoon (9), the Mais Querido will face Real Brasília, at 16 pm, at Bezerrão Stadium, in the quarterfinals of the tournament. TV Globo and SporTV will broadcast the match live.
The red-and-black squad trained this morning at CEFAN and then departed for the Federal District. Twenty players traveled in total, and defender Agustina—who played in the semifinal between the teams in 2023 and helped Mengão qualify—stressed the importance of entering the match with extra focus.
"In this single-game situation, we have to be focused from the first minute. Furthermore, we need to impose our rhythm. We know that this competition is crucial to our goals this season, and we are ready. The nation can be sure that we will do everything to win," he said.
