It's time for Mengão's debut in the Brazilian Women's Championship! This Friday night, the Meninas da Gávea will face Santos at 20 pm at Vila Belmiro in the opening round of the national competition. There will be no tickets for sale, and admission is free (Nação Rubro-Negra access is through gate 19 of the stadium). SporTV will broadcast the match live.

This season, Mais Querido has already played five matches—one against the U-20 team—winning three, drawing one, and losing the other. Furthermore, the team has scored 15 goals and conceded six. "I'm sure it'll be a very competitive match, after all, there are two great teams on the field. The tournament format remains the same as in 2022. All 16 clubs face each other in a single round, with the top eight advancing. The knockout stage will feature home-and-away matches.

A break is scheduled between July and August due to the World Cup. Therefore, the most decisive stage (semifinals and finals) will only be played upon the return.
