After a few more weeks of training, Flamengo will return to the field in 2022! This Monday (7), the Meninas da Gávea will face São Paulo, at 20 pm, at Luso Brasileiro, in a game valid for the Brazilian Women's Championship. There will be no ticket sales and to watch the match is simple: just bring 2kg of non-perishable food and present your vaccination card.

This season, Mengão has already played two matches (winning one and drawing the other), scored three goals, and conceded only one. The squad, which already had nine signings in the Super Cup, gained two new additions: defender Ariane and midfielder Thaisa. Aware of the responsibility of representing the nation, Mister Luis Andrade spoke about his expectations for the team's debut in the national competition.

"I see the athletes prepared, as they've spent weeks working hard at CEFAN alongside the coaching staff. Making their debut at home is always different, it's nerve-wracking, but we have to perform well. When we step onto the field, we need to understand that we're representing more than 42 million Flamengo fans, and that's a huge privilege. We want to start the Brasileirão on the right foot," he analyzed.
