Flamengo faces Avaí/Kindermann in Caçador

The Meninas da Gávea are in fourth place in the standings, with 29 points from thirteen matches. They have won nine, drawn two, and lost two, scoring 41 goals and conceding eight.

The teams have faced each other three times so far, twice in Caçador. In 2015, the first year of the partnership between Flamengo and Marinha, the red-and-blacks won 2-0 in Santa Catarina. Also in the south, they lost 1-0 last season. In 2018, the teams met in Gávea, and Flamengo won 4-0.

Flamengo/Marinha in the Brazilian Championship
This will be Flamengo/Marinha's fifth appearance in the Brasileirão. Playing nationally since 2015, the red-and-black team won the title in 2016 and competed vigorously for the title in every edition. Last year, the team reached the semifinals. It's worth noting that Flamengo finished last year with the Campeonato Carioca title, its fourth since the partnership began.

The top eight teams advance to the quarterfinals and so on until the final. In the knockout stage, all matches will be home and away.

In a Women's World Cup year, the competition is scheduled to take a break between rounds nine and ten. Therefore, the Meninas da Gávea will play at the end of May and return only in July.
