Debut with a rout! In the first round of the 2024 Women's Cup, Flamengo defeated Minas Brasília 4-0 on Friday morning (29), at the Conde Rodolfo Crespi stadium. Letícia, Kaylane Vieira, Anna Luiza and Larissa scored in the good red-black victory. Now, the Girls from Gávea face Botafogo-PB in the next round.

The game
The Gávea Girls started the match looking for the first goal, and it didn't take long for them to do so. In the 10th minute, Letícia received the ball wide on the right, entered the box, and shot. The ball deflected off the Minas Brasília defense and went in: 1-0.

Flamengo continued to attack and scored the second in the 34th minute. Cerqueira made a good play on the right side of the box and crossed low for Kaylane Vieira to finish into the back of the net: 2-0. With complete control of the action, Mengão went into the break with a two-goal lead on the scoreboard.

In the opening minute of the second half, the Meninas da Gávea extended their lead with Anna Luiza. The number 10 received the ball on the right side of the box and fired a shot into the corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 3-0.

The fourth red-and-black goal came in the 14th minute with Larissa. Mariana launched a through ball, the defender got in the way of the goalkeeper, and the number 8 took advantage of the empty net to score: 4-0. The game ended with a red-and-black rout!
